I have been practising Yoga for about 18 years and have enjoyed immensely the benefits that Yoga brings. I attend many in-depth workshops and training days and have therefore gained a wide and diverse knowledge of Yoga.
I am British Wheel of Yoga trained teacher, completing their three-year Diploma course and qualifying in 2006 and have been teaching ever since. My classes vary in length and as I teach a wide variety of people who are at different stages in their yoga practice I can adapt the lessons accordingly. Most classes are of a mixed ability ranging from beginners to student teachers and include relaxation, posture work and breathing techniques.
I have in the past assisted in a weekly Restorative Yoga Class, which was very rewarding and informative. This class allowed me to develop an understanding of how to safely modify poses and work in a recuperative way. I also run workshops as well as retreats to allow myself as well as my students the opportunity to explore and deepen the yoga practice.
My style is what is usually described as Hatha Yoga, connecting to the breath in poses and holding poses to build strength as well as flexibility.
